My First 6,000 is a 6-day high-altitude expedition designed for those who want to safely climb their first 6,000-meter peak while following a proper acclimatization strategy. The program includes ascents of Cerro Pastillitos (5,090 m) and Nevado San Francisco (6,018 m), taking you through some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Atacama Andes, including Laguna Santa Rosa, Laguna Verde, and Nevado de Tres Cruces National Park, accompanied at all times by certified mountain guides and professional expedition logistics.

We will pick you up and drop you off at the location that best suits your needs. For this expedition, transportation is available within Copiapó. We can collect you from your home, hotel, accommodation, or an agreed meeting point, and return you either to the same location or another destination within the urban area of Copiapó, or any point located along the program route.
Both pick-up and drop-off locations are chosen by the participant, provided they are within the area mentioned above and coordinated in advance with our team.

Thanks to its altitude and characteristics, it is considered one of the best acclimatization peaks before attempting Nevado San Francisco (6,018 m). Best Season for This Expedition
We recommend undertaking this expedition between October and April. Before November and after April, the route is generally considered to be under winter conditions due to the increased amount of snow that may be encountered along the way.
What are the requirements for joining this expedition?
Previous experience on mountains above 4,000 m and 5,000 m is required.
We recommend completing previous high-altitude ascents and/or spending time at altitude before joining this expedition.
Participants must be in good physical and medical condition for this activity.
Recent surgeries or injuries are not recommended, as the route involves hiking over rocky terrain.
Participants must have appropriate personal technical clothing and equipment for the expedition.
Participants under 18 years of age must provide written authorization from a parent or legal guardian.
You must complete and sign the medical questionnaire provided before each expedition.

Our My First 6,000 program has been designed so you can focus solely on enjoying the expedition. We take care of all logistics, safety, meals, and the necessary equipment to provide a comfortable, safe, and professional high-altitude mountain experience.
Logistics and Transportation
- Private transportation in 4×4 vehicles. Vehicles specially equipped for high-altitude mountain roads and operated in accordance with current regulations. The number of vehicles will depend on the size of the group.
- All transfers included. All transportation specified in the expedition itinerary is included.
- Pick-up in Copiapó. Pick-up from your hotel, accommodation, or a previously coordinated meeting point within the urban area of Copiapó, or at a point that coincides with the program route.
- Drop-off in Copiapó. Return to your hotel, accommodation, or a previously coordinated point within the city of Copiapó, or at a point that coincides with the program route.
Guiding Team and Safety
- Certified high-altitude mountain guides. The expedition is led by guides with IML-UIMLA, ANGM and/or ACGM training, as well as international Wilderness First Responder certification (WFR NASAR).
- Certified assistant guides/cook. The number of assistants will depend on the number of expedition participants.
Base Camp and Accommodation
- Mountain lodge or camping option at Laguna Santa Rosa. Our first option will always be to accommodate the group in a mountain lodge. However, due to limited availability — only three lodges in the area — spaces often sell out in advance during the high season (November to March). If no lodge space is available, accommodation will be provided in camping mode.
- Four-season high-altitude tents. Capacity for two people per tent. If you would like a private tent, you may request it in advance, subject to availability.
- Each tent includes: sleeping bag (-18°C), standard sleeping pad, interior lamp, toilet paper, and waste bag.
- Structural dining dome at Laguna Verde. Common area equipped with tables, chairs, gas stoves, complete tableware, hot drinks, fruit, books, and board games available throughout the expedition.
- Eco-friendly toilet. Equipped with toilet paper, soap, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, lime, and other hygiene supplies. At Laguna Santa Rosa, one shower water supply is included (20 liters per participant).
- Starlink satellite internet. Available at Laguna Santa Rosa and Laguna Verde, allowing WiFi browsing, calls, and video calls.
- Charging of electronic devices. Electricity is available through a solar power system at base camp.
Meals
- Full meals throughout the expedition. Includes breakfast, snacks, trail food, lunch, and dinner.
- Balanced menus. Specially prepared for high-altitude mountain activities, taking into account the energy requirements of the expedition.
- Special diets. We can adapt meals for vegetarian, vegan, celiac, lactose-intolerant participants, or other dietary requirements.
- Expedition closing dinner. We will share a dinner at a traditional restaurant in Copiapó.
Technical Equipment Included
- Technical equipment per participant:
- Crampons, depending on mountain conditions.
- Helmet.
- Ice axe, depending on mountain conditions.

- Personal equipment check. If you prefer to use your own technical equipment, it will be inspected by the lead guide during the pre-expedition meeting, either in person or by video call, or at the time of pick-up. If any item does not meet the required safety or functional standards, it must be replaced with equipment provided by Allmountain, always prioritizing the safety of the expedition.
- Group technical equipment. In addition to individual equipment, Allmountain provides the collective technical gear required for the expedition, including safety ropes and any other items the guide considers necessary according to mountain conditions.

- Professional high-altitude first-aid kit. Equipped for first aid in remote areas, including supplies for altitude illness, trauma, wounds, burns, and other common emergencies.

We operate exclusively with fully equipped 4×4 vehicles designed for mountain environments, ensuring comfort, reliability, and safety on high-altitude roads.
We work with small groups, typically no larger than six participants, allowing us to provide a more personalized experience, a welcoming atmosphere, and greater attention to every participant.
Allmountain is officially registered and certified by SERNATUR (Chile’s National Tourism Service) for Adventure Tourism activities, including High-Altitude Mountaineering, Hiking & Trekking, and Rock Climbing. We are also listed in the National Tourism Service Providers Registry.
Our mountain guides are highly experienced professionals who hold the certifications required to lead these activities, including internationally recognized Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification, with ongoing professional training and recertification.
