Discover one of the most technical, exciting, and fascinating disciplines of winter mountaineering. Ice climbing allows you to ascend frozen waterfalls and natural ice formations using technical crampons, ice tools, helmet, harness, and rope systems, always under the guidance and supervision of our professional mountain guides.
Whether you have previous experience or not, you can enjoy this activity in different sectors of the Central Andes of Chile. The final climbing location will be selected among Cajón del Maipo, Farellones, Los Andes, Portillo, or another nearby area, depending on ice formation and stability, weather conditions, snow accumulation, accessibility, and the safety assessment carried out by our guide team.
Throughout the day you will learn and practice movement techniques using technical crampons, proper use of technical ice tools, body positioning, balance, movement on ice, and top rope ice climbing techniques.
The experience is adapted to the level of each participant, whether it is your first introduction to ice climbing or an advanced practice and skills development day for experienced climbers.
Every activity includes 24/7 remote mountain medicine support, providing continuous monitoring, assistance, and emergency response capabilities.
Our guides maintain constant communication through VHF radios and satellite communication systems such as Garmin InReach, allowing reliable coordination in remote areas without cellular coverage.
Professional mountain and ice climbing guides belonging to the Chilean Mountain Guide Associations (ANGM and/or ACGM), with additional training including UIAGM and IML-UIMLA certifications, depending on the expedition team.
Our entire guide team holds current WFR NASAR (Wilderness First Responder) certification for emergency medical response in remote environments.
Climbing systems, routes, and technical exercises are adapted according to each participant’s physical condition, technical level, and previous experience.

Allmountain Chile is officially registered and certified by SERNATUR for Adventure Tourism activities including Mountaineering, Trekking, Hiking, and Rock & Ice Climbing, and is listed in Chile’s National Tourism Service Registry.
Our guides are experienced mountain professionals holding internationally recognized certifications, including Wilderness First Responder (WFR NASAR), with ongoing professional training and certification updates.
During every activity, we are committed to sustainable mountain tourism by following Leave No Trace principles, supporting local communities, and using environmentally responsible products whenever possible.
If you do not have all the required technical equipment, Allmountain Chile provides the necessary gear whenever it is included in the selected program, such as helmets, crampons, ice axes, tents, and other technical equipment.
Every trekking adventure, mountaineering expedition, mountain tour, and climbing experience we organize is built around three key sustainability principles:
Cultural Sustainability
We encourage our guests to discover local traditions by visiting museums, artisan markets, cultural centers, and family-owned businesses. Supporting local artisans and producers helps preserve regional traditions while creating authentic connections with local communities.
Environmental Sustainability
We use biodegradable soaps and environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible to minimize our impact on the natural environments we visit.
Whenever practical, we prioritize reusable or glass containers, separate recyclable materials after every trip, and recycle all appropriate waste.
We also strive to leave every place cleaner than we found it by removing litter whenever possible.
Energy Sustainability
We use portable solar charging systems to power our satellite communication devices, cameras, mobile phones, and other electronic equipment whenever conditions allow.
